The artwork must follow the 2023 theme: “From the Fruit of the Vine”

Entries are due to the Hermann Arts Council at City Hall no later than July 31, 2023. The address is 1902 Jefferson St. Hermann, MO 65041. Artwork can be dropped off at City Hall between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

First, second and third place winners will be chosen. First place receives $500; second place receives $200; and third place receives $100.

Any medium may be used - paint, photos, drawing, graphics, art. 3-D art will be accepted in “poster ready” photograph form. ALL ENTRIES MUST BE SCALED TO FIT 15x18” VERTICALLY. Submitted artwork must be printed and ready to judge.

Artists may submit up to 3 entries.

The winning artwork will be placed on poster paper, with the theme “From the Fruit of the Vine” sponsored by Hermann Arts Council, and the artist’s name. This verbiage will be added after the winner is chosen, during the printing process. The winner will be asked to provide a digital file for printing.

By entering the contest, the artist must agree to provide the rights to the artwork to the Hermann Arts Council, the City of Hermann, and the rights to usage of the winning artwork in the advertising and promotions of events in conjunction with the Hermann Arts Council.

By entering the contest, the artist agrees to sign an affidavit stating the artwork is the artist’s original art, and does not infringe on any third party rights, and has not been previously published.

Although the artist may submit up to three entires, they will only be able to place once.

Hermann Mo Plein Air judged entries cannot be entered into the Hermann Poster Contest.
